In Q1 2020, Romson completed Phase 1 of Oxifree deployment to combat Corrosion Under Pipe Support (CUPS) in multiple locations onboard an Offshore Platform.

The project required Romson’s creative solution to address the challenge of a splash zone due to fluctuating tidal waves in the section to be coated. In response, Romson designed and fabricated a cofferdam to protect the asset from incoming tides.

Achievements

⊕   Complete arrest of CUPS even in regions difficult to access.

⊕   No operational shutdown during application.

⊕   Outstanding project delivery resulted in client expanding scope for Phase 2.
